Contract: Temporary until July (potential for permanent role for the right candidate)
Salary: MPS / UPS (dependent on experience)

The Opportunity

A secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a Food Technology Teacher to join a small, supportive department on a short-term basis until the end of the academic year.

This vacancy has arisen following the retirement of the previous post-holder, and the school is keen to appoint someone quickly to ensure continuity for pupils. There is potential for a longer-term opportunity, though this cannot be guaranteed at this stage.

The Role

Teach KS3 Food Technology only

Monday to Thursday teaching timetable

Approximately 11-12 lessons per week

Lessons are 1 hour 15 minutes in length

Work within a small department of two Food Technology teachers

Deliver practical and theory-based lessons in a well-established curriculum

What We're Looking For

QTS

Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level

Confident managing practical lessons and classroom routines

Ability to start as soon as possible

Flexible, reliable, and happy with a temporary assignment
