James Ray Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to support a secondary school in the Wirral on a maternity cover basis starting in April.

With continued demand for high-quality teaching staff, this role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while ensuring continuity of learning during a key period.

About the Role:

As a Secondary School Food Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

You will step into the classroom to cover a maternity leave position, maintaining high standards of teaching while supporting students in developing their understanding of nutrition, food preparation, and healthy living.

Working within a supportive and well-equipped school environment, you will help create a positive and inclusive learning space, encouraging students to develop essential life skills, creativity, and confidence in the kitchen.

What We're Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent • Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level (KS3/KS4) • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • A genuine passion for teaching and student success • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles • Effective classroom management skills • Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment • Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and support staff • Ability to provide constructive feedback and assessment to students • Flexibility and resilience in a busy school environment • Commitment to continuous professional development
