Are you a Food Technology Teacher looking for a new role from September?
A well-regarded secondary school in Southwark is seeking a Food Technology Teacher to join their Design & Technology department from September. This role would suit an ECT or an experienced teacher who enjoys delivering practical lessons and helping pupils develop key life skills through cooking and nutrition.
You will be teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to contribute to the wider DT curriculum. The department is organised and supportive, with well-equipped facilities and clear systems in place.
Food Technology Teacher Key Responsibilities:
Teach Food Technology across KS3KS4
Plan and deliver practical and theory-based lessons
Promote safe working practices in the kitchen environment
Prepare pupils for GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition
Contribute to curriculum planning and assessment
Person Specification:
QTS and a degree in Food Technology, Nutrition or a related subject
Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice
Experience delivering practical lessons safely and effectively
Clear and consistent behaviour management
