Foreman – Groundworks & Civil Engineering Location: Portsmouth Start Date: Immediate

We are an established and growing groundworks and civil engineering contractor currently seeking an experienced Foreman to join our team on projects based in Portsmouth. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and motivated individual looking for ongoing work with an immediate start.

Role & Responsibilities:

*

Supervise and manage groundworks and civil engineering operatives on site

*

Oversee daily site activities to ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to programme

*

Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors as required

*

Ensure all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and method statements

*

Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality control, and site housekeeping

*

Communicate effectively with site managers, engineers, and clients to resolve issues and maintain progress

Requirements:

*

Proven experience working as a Foreman within groundworks and/or civil engineering

*

Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills

*

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

*

Valid CSCS card

*

SMSTS or SSSTS qualification preferred

*

First Aid qualification desirable but not essential

*

A proactive approach with a strong focus on safety and quality
