Job Summary Consultant Psychiatrist – Arbury Court Hospital (Warrington)Salary: £80,000 – £95,000 a yearContract: PermanentWorking pattern: Full‑time (37.5 hours per week) Key Responsibilities

Deliver individualized care and treatment programmes for adult women with a wide range of mental health issues. Collaborate effectively with patients and multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes. Lead and contribute to service development, governance and quality improvement projects. Build positive relationships with external stakeholders, including NHS England case managers. Conduct psychiatric assessments to determine appropriate level of care for women referred to the unit. Provide oral and written evidence at First‑tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers’ hearings. Stay updated with latest developments by attending conferences, online courses, and other professional activities. Complete second on‑call duties (current ratio 1 in 17 for full‑time consultants) and arrange voluntary paid first‑on‑call locum shifts, with time taken back in lieu.

Qualifications & Experience

Full GMC registration and Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. On or anticipating joining the GMC specialist register for forensic or general adult psychiatry. Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status. Good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists, with up‑to‑date appraisals.
