We are recruiting for Forklift Driver roles in the Chartham, Canterbury area. Please note: Due to the limited public transport options to the client's location, own transport is essential for this role . While the site can be reached via train to Canterbury and a bus to Chartham followed by a 20-minute walk, this is not practical for daily commuting.
As a Forklift Driver you will need to have:
Good communication skills
Basic level of English
Valid FLT Licence
Previous experience working within a similar role within the fruit industry
Details:
Salary: £13.45 ph
Working Hours: 5 days out of 7 and 12-hour shifts. Rota is 5 on 2 off. Same every week. Full time
Location: Nickle Farm, Chartham, Canterbury, Kent. CT4 7PG
Duration: Ongoing
Role of a Forklift Driver :
Supply the Packhouse with correct stock (crates, boxes, pallets) to maintain production flow
Conduct daily pre-start checks and operate the forklift safely at all times
Follow stock sheets and allocation instructions accurately
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Report any damage, faults, or safety issues to the Manager promptly
