Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team in a leading food manufacturing company? Pilgrim's Europe is looking for motivated Fork lift Driver to join our team in Andover and contribute to our success. If you have a keen eye for detail and a can-do attitude, this opportunity is for you!

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 07:00am – 16:00pm

Key responsibilities:

  • Operate counterbalance forklift in accordance with trained safe system of work to move items including crates, pallets, storage bins
  • Cleaning of trailers to ensure in good order for next collection of raw product.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks following procedure laid down
  • Yard duties as required to help maintain a clean tidy safe work environment including management of cardboard store
  • To ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles/trailers around the Company Yard and report if any internal or external personnel are not complying with site safety rules.
  • Assist with the unloading of vehicles when required
  • Understand, and strive to meet, the standards expected in each area of the business
  • To ensure that food safety is not compromised at any stage of their works

Skills and knowledge:

  • Multi-skilled individual with experience in a similar environment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Self motivated with a proactive approach
  • Ability to carry out a physically demanding role
  • Please note this position is based outdoors year round so you must be used to getting the job done come rain or shine

Qualifications:

  • Qualification consummate to the safe movement of articulated vehicles on site with the company tug is essential (i.e Class 1 license)
  • Current counterbalance license (desired)
  • Current reach truck license (desirable)
