Job Description

M Pro Recruitment is working with a well-established materials handling equipment provider to recruit an experienced Workshop Engineer to join their Cranbrook depot.


The Role:
Youll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and preparation of forklifts and materials handling equipment in a busy workshop environment. This hands-on role ensures all equipment is fully operational, safe, and ready for customer use.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, repair, and maintain forklifts and other MHE in the workshop

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults

  • Carry out pre-delivery inspections and prepare equipment for use

  • Maintain accurate workshop records and documentation

  • Work closely with field engineers and support the wider team


Requirements:

  • Proven experience working on forklifts or materials handling equipment

  • Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills


Package:

  • Salary up to £38,000 depending on experience

  • Monday to Friday working hours
