Workshop Forklift Engineer


Location: Preston
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off
Hours: 12-hour shifts
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Workshop Forklift Engineer to join our team at our Preston workshop. This role offers a consistent shift pattern and competitive hourly rate within a stable working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing forklift trucks within a workshop setting

  • Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults

  • Carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs

  • Completing job reports and documentation accurately

  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Forklift Engineer or similar plant/mechanical role

  • Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems

  • Ability to work independently within a workshop environment

  • A methodical approach with strong attention to detail

  • Relevant engineering qualifications preferred
