Do you want to build the AI engine of an industrial SaaS startup?
Have you ever deployed LLM-driven systems that power real-world decisions?
Are you ready to lead AI development end-to-end, reporting directly to the founder?
A fast-growing industrial manufacturing SaaS spinout, this company is building an AI- Insight & Decision Platform that connects to existing maintenance and procurement systems to turn operational data into predictive insights and autonomous decisions.
The mission: help manufacturers move from systems of record to systems of execution, powered by applied AI.
Core focus areas:
Intelligent Inventory – predictive stock optimisation
Better Buying – autonomous procurement
Absolute Automation – removing manual admin
Small, agile team (4 developers + Founder/CEO) with a major pilot planned for mid-2026 and strong parent-company backing.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deploy AI features (intelligent search, procurement agents, predictive maintenance).
Build and integrate LLM-driven agents , RAG pipelines, and predictive models.
Collaborate with software engineers to embed AI securely into production.
Define AI standards , select tools, and shape the technical roadmap.
Opportunity to progress to CTO-level as the business scales.
Key Requirements
5+ years’ experience in AI/ML or software engineering , with production delivery.
Strong Python skills.
Hands-on with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or LangGraph .
Proficient in model deployment on cloud.
Background in industrial manufacturing or B2B software ().
Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and collaborative.
Key Details
Salary: £75,000–£90,000 + 10–20% bonus (linked to MVP pilot)
Location: Slough (Hybrid - 2+ days/week)
Stack: Python, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, vector DBs, Azure AI/MLOps
