We are working with a Birmingham-based subcontractor undertaking work on multiple private sector schemes across the West Midlands. We are looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support on a few schemes in the Birmingham area.

Your Day-To-Day Duties:

You will support the commercial team in managing costs, maximising value, and ensuring effective commercial control across the project.

Producing weekly and monthly cost and value reconciliations Capturing, allocating, and reporting costs and liabilities Supporting strong working relationships with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities Assisting with the preparation of commercial tenders, offers, and contracts Identifying and escalating non-compliant or inappropriate costs Recording and monitoring insurance claims Maintaining accurate and up-to-date commercial and contract records Capturing and reporting direct labour costs Drafting, reviewing, and awarding sub-contractsThe Requirements

Relevant degree qualification in Quantity Surveying Subcontractor experience Varied contract experience Self-motivated and an ability to work alone Ability to take initiative in resolving problems. Previous surveying responsibilities Ability to us MS ExcelSalary & Package

The rate on offer is negotiable, dependent on an individuals experience.
