Freelance Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a well-established regional contractor based in the North West, is looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a £10 million industrial unit development. Working as part of a professional site and commercial team, you will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to final account.
Key Responsibilities Commercial management of a £10m industrial unit project
Subcontract procurement and package management
Preparation of valuations, variations, and cost reports
Monitoring project budgets and forecasting
Contract administration under JCT forms of contract
Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
Supporting the project to ensure delivery within commercial targets
Requirements Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on industrial or commercial construction projects
Experience on projects typically £5m£10m
Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts
Experience managing subcontract procurement and commercial reporting
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
