Our client, a freight forwarder is looking for a General Freight Forwarder is join their office in Felixstowe. Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Freight Forwarder to join our dynamic logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the transportation of goods, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional service to our clients. This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain processes and the ability to navigate complex logistics challenges effectively. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage the movement of freight from origin to destination, ensuring timely delivery. Utilise Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track shipments and optimise routes. Maintain accurate data entry for all shipments, including documentation and compliance with FDA regulations. Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers and suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions. Collaborate with sales teams to generate leads and manage B2B sales opportunities.
