The Royal Scots Club is a Members Club and hotel with 34 bedrooms; a variety of events and meeting rooms located in the heart of Edinburghs New Town. We have a vacancy for a Front Office Supervisor. The position would suit an experienced hotel receptionist with reception, reservations and administration skills. Previous experience using Rezlynx/ Guestline would be helpful. The job involves Supervise and train the reception team to ensure that all front office procedures are followed Managing the reception staffing rota Managing and overseeing reservation bookings and room allocations, particularly group bookings, working with the Revenue Manager to help maximise room rates and occupancy Proactively handle no-show charges, chargebacks, and outstanding payments, overseeing credit/debit card refunds Reconciling pay ins received from bars and restaurants daily and completing daily banking Reception holiday/ sickness cover as required Compile daily, weekly and monthly finance front office spreadsheets including reports for credit/debit card payments for presentation to the management accountant. Manage Petty Cash Manage the Debtors List Process all online shop orders The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude and know how to manage a front office team. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9-5 with occasional reception shifts as required You will be joining a thriving successful business where much of that success comes from the team who work here
