Our platform, Hexxcell Studio™, enables refineries, petrochemical plants, and energy operators to monitor, predict, and optimize thermal and process systems at scale.
Founded as a spin-off from Imperial College London in 2013, Hexxcell now operates as an independent company based in Hammersmith, Central London. Our team comprises experts in chemical, mechanical, and process systems engineering, specializing in heat transfer, mathematical modeling, and data science.
We are now seeking a Full Stack Engineer with strong DevOps capability to help us scale our platform and infrastructure. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of industrial engineering and AI.
Role Description
You will work across the full technology stack, contributing to:
- Development of scalable backend services and APIs powering Hexxcell Studio™
- Modern front-end applications for industrial analytics and decision support
- Cloud-native infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
- Deployment and monitoring of AI-enabled models in production environments
- Continuous improvement of performance, reliability, and security
You will collaborate directly with AI engineers, domain experts in thermal systems, and product leadership to deliver production-grade solutions used in live industrial assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of major product features within Hexxcell Studio™, from concept and design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing optimisation
- Deliver production-grade backend services and APIs that power real industrial decision-making
- Own the data layer for your features, including schema design, performance optimisation, and handling large industrial datasets
- Integrate Hybrid-AI models into scalable, reliable production workflows
- Design and maintain the CI/CD processes required to ship and operate your work safely and continuously
- Manage deployments and cloud infrastructure required to run your features in production
- Ensure enterprise-grade security and reliability standards are upheld
