Full Stack Engineer (Python) – AI Insurtech

Location: UK (Remote-first) 1 day/month in London

Our client is high-growth, AI-driven Insurtech company that has recently secured Series A funding and is scaling systems in production (handling growth, performance, and reliability)

Their goal is to rebuild insurance from the ground up, replacing outdated legacy platforms with modern, AI-powered systems.

This is a hands-on Full Stack Engineer ideal for someone who wants to operate at a high technical level without stepping away from coding. You’ll play a key role in designing and scaling core systems while influencing architecture, standards, and engineering culture.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Architecting and building scalable systems in Python
• Owning system design, performance, and reliability across core products
• Remaining deeply hands-on with coding and implementation
• Partnering closely with AI/ML and product teams to deliver intelligent solutions
• Designing systems for regulated environments (insurance/finance/healthcare)
• Shaping technical roadmap, best practices, and engineering culture

What They’re Looking For

• 5-8 years of Python engineering experience
• Experience operating at Staff / Lead / Principal level
• Strong expertise in Full stack architecture and distributed systems
• Proven product engineering background (building real products end-to-end)
• Experience in start-ups or scale-ups
• Ability to own systems end-to-end (build → scale → operate)

Nice to have:

• Experience in regulated industries (insurance, fintech, healthcare, etc.)
• Contributions to open-source, blogs, or technical content
• Strong academic foundation in Computer Science or Engineering
