I'm working with an established UK organisation that is investing heavily in its in-house technology capability. The company is currently rebuilding and modernising a suite of internal software platforms, replacing legacy systems and developing new solutions to support core business processes.
They're looking for a Web Software Developer to join a collaborative internal engineering team responsible for building and improving these systems.
This role offers the opportunity to work on business-critical applications used across the organisation, contributing to the development of modern web-based platforms while learning from experienced engineers in the team.
The environment places a strong emphasis on clean code, structured development practices, and quality-focused engineering.
The position is remote-first, with the team meeting onsite in Lancashire approximately 2-3 times per year for planning sessions and collaborative workshops.

Developing modern web applications and internal systems

Building frontend interfaces and user workflows

Contributing to backend services and REST APIs

Working with developers to deliver scalable and maintainable software

Translating business requirements into practical software solutions

Contributing to code quality, testing, and documentation
