Full-Time | Full Class ResponsibilityStart: Term 5 (April 2026) - End of Term 6 (July 2026)

Are you an enthusiastic, dedicated primary teacher ready to take on a rewarding upper-KS2 role?

A welcoming and supportive primary school in BS15 is seeking an experienced teacher to lead their Year 5/6 class through the summer terms.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact as pupils prepare for the transition into secondary school.

The Role In this full-responsibility position, you will:

• Teach and lead a mixed Year 5/6 class
• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum
• Support pupils' academic progress and wellbeing
• Prepare Year 6 pupils for end-of-year expectations
• Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with the senior leadership team and wider staff
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers
• Contribute to the wider school community

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong experience within upper KS2 (Year 5/6 preferred)
• Confident classroom and behaviour management
• Ability to hit the ground running with planning and assessment
• A creative, resilient, and organised practitioner
• Commitment to school values and pupil wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
