Course Dates 14th May to 30th July 2026 Scholarship Overview This fully funded scholarship is available for LGBTQIA+ screenwriters with limited financial means to study a three‑month online Writing TV Drama course led by Jamie Nuttgens. Eligibility Open to anyone over 18, who identifies as LGBTQIA+ and meets the low‑income criteria detailed below. Financial Criteria
Unmarried and not co‑habiting with a partner, annual gross pre‑tax income less than £30,000 and personal savings less than £10,000. Married or co‑habiting, household gross pre‑tax income less than £45,000 and savings (together or individually) less than £10,000. Applicants who do not meet these thresholds but are financially challenged may still apply with an explanation of circumstances.
Terms & Conditions
Applicants must meet eligibility criteria. The application requires statements about gender identity, sexuality, financial status, and reasons for deserving the scholarship. Income thresholds apply to current salary or self‑employed profits; benefits such as jobseeker’s allowance count as income. Proof of financial circumstances may be requested. The scholarship covers only the named course; it does not cover other fee‑paying places. Applicants must not be represented by an agent.
Application Procedure Submit a single PDF containing the opening of your pilot script (up to fifteen pages, max 2,200 words), a 300‑word synopsis of the pilot episode, and a 300‑word synopsis of the rest of the serial. File must be uploaded via the application form. Applications close at midnight end of day Monday 20 April; decisions will be communicated by Friday 24 April.
