Role: Functional Skills Maths Tutor * Location: Thurrock * Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours, excluding lunch) * Contract: Permanent Our client seeks an experienced educator passionate about supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role requires understanding the difference between mainstream teaching and working with high-needs learners. At Thurrock GAPS, our client delivers tailored education for young people with complex needs such as global developmental delay, Down syndrome, dyslexia, autism, ADHD, severe learning difficulties, and social communication challenges. Learners often require additional support with communication and emotional regulation. We are looking for a Functional Skills Maths Tutor to deliver Entry Level 1–3 and Level 1 & 2 Functional Skills Maths in small groups (up to 12 learners). This role requires patience, adaptability, and confidence in managing learners with diverse needs.
