Job Description

Vice President - Fund Controller – Financial Modelling / Transactions

Private Equity | London | £110,000 – £120,000 + competitve bonus + benefits

About the Opportunity

We’re hiring an Associate Director to be key leader within a $12bn private equity platform. This is a highly visible and technical role requiring both strong fund control expertise and financial modelling capability.

You’ll work at the intersection of investment execution, fund strategy, and operational oversight — partnering with portfolio managers, investor relations, legal, and fund accounting to influence how capital is structured, deployed, and reported.

Key Responsibilities

Modelling & Analytics

  • Build and maintain advanced fund models — including performance forecasting, carry/waterfall analysis, and investor structuring scenarios.
  • Deliver high-quality sensitivity and scenario modelling to support decision-making around leverage, liquidity, and portfolio construction.

Liquidity & Investment Operations

  • Oversee dry powder tracking, deal allocation, FX hedging, facility utilisation, and capital flow forecasting.
  • Manage complex deal funding processes across funds, feeders, and co-investment vehicles.

Fund Control & Reporting

  • Lead delivery of institutional-grade reporting — including LP reports, internal dashboards, and LPAC packs.
  • Oversee fund accounting outputs, NAV oversight, and track record analytics.

Product Structuring & Platform Development

  • Support fund launches, investment period extensions, and vehicle restructuring.
  • Contribute to carried interest and tax-efficient structuring with deep modelling input.

Operational Excellence

  • Drive process automation and efficiency — often Excel-based and requiring high modelling fluency.
  • Act as a cross-functional problem-solver across investment, treasury, legal, and compliance.

Candidate Profile

Required:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA or CFA-qualified, with 5–7 years’ experience in private equity, or alternatives.
  • Advanced financial modelling skills — able to independently build and scale complex Excel models to production-grade standard.
  • Strong fund operations, control, and reporting background gained in-house or via top-tier advisory.
  • Proven experience partnering with front office teams to deliver commercial, not just operational, insight.

Why Apply?

This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact role on one of the world’s most sophisticated private credit platforms. You’ll combine modelling, fund control, and investment support in a role that offers visibility, variety, and the chance to influence how billions in capital are managed.
