Salary: Depending on experience
Contract: Initial 3-month temporary contract, with a view to extend for a further 3 months before view to permanent employment, subject to performance and business requirements
Hours: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Role Overview
PULSAR is seeking an experienced Garment Technician / Quality Control Technician to support the review, standardisation, and quality control of our high visibility, base layers, flame retardant and electric ARC clothing collections.
The initial focus of the role will be on fit, sizing, and updating the size charts in technical product specifications (Workbooks) across all ranges, creating standardised size charts for current and new products. As the role develops (and if made permanent), responsibilities will expand to cover bulk production quality control, fabric inspection, stock checks, returns process and supplier liaison.
This role is critical in establishing and maintaining consistent sizing standards across all product ranges, ensuring customers can confidently select the same size across the entire PULSAR portfolio, regardless of product or collection.

Key Responsibilities – Initial 3-Month Contract with potential 3-Month extension
Fit, Sizing & Product Specification
- Review all existing product ranges with a focus on fit, sizing consistency and wearability
- Identify inconsistencies across ranges and propose improvements
- Create and implement standardised size charts across all garment ranges including global “to fit” charts
- Update product workbooks / technical files, ensuring size charts are accurate and consistent
- Liaise with internal teams and suppliers to communicate sizing updates and technical requirements

Key Responsibilities – Permanent Role (Future Scope)
Quality Control & Production
- Carry out QC checks on bulk production, including weekly container and pallet arrivals
- Inspect garments against approved samples and specifications
- Process and assess customer returns and any faulty products, identifying root causes and corrective actions and reporting back to factories
Fabric & Materials Control
- Set up and manage a bulk fabric checking process, including:
- Fabric inspection on receipt
- Ongoing monitoring and recording of fabric quality
- Check and record fabric weights
- Inspect and verify Arc-rated and certified fabrics to ensure compliance with required standards
- Maintain clear QC records and reporting
Stock & Sales Sample Management
- Conduct regular garment quality stock checks
- Arrange and manage sales and marketing samples for new and existing products
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of sales and marketing samples at PP stage
- Support the launch of new products from a technical and QC perspective
- General
- Work collaboratively with Product Development, Purchasing & Quality, Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain teams
- Carry out ad-hoc duties as required to support business needs

Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Proven experience as a Garment Technician and/or Quality Control Technician
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, and sizing
- Experience working with technical workwear, FR, or ARC clothing (highly desirable)
- Ability to interpret and create technical product specifications and size charts
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Confident communicator, able to liaise with suppliers and internal teams
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Experience with bulk production inspections
- Experience handling returns analysis and corrective actions
Desirable
- Knowledge of fabric testing, weights, and performance standards
- Understanding of ARC flash and FR compliance standards
