*Overview*
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various technical skills necessary for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas systems. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality workmanship, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
*Duties*
The Gas Engineer will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:
* Installing and servicing gas appliances and systems in residential
* Conducting thorough inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Performing routine maintenance and emergency repairs on gas systems.
* Utilising hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as required.
* Completing assembly tasks related to gas installations.
* Collaborating with other tradespeople, including plumbers and electricians, to ensure seamless project execution.
* Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used.
* Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times while on-site.
*Experience*
The successful candidate will ideally have:
* Proven experience in gas engineering or a related field.
* Proficiency in welding, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical knowledge.
* Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools effectively.
* Strong basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
* Capability for heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs.
