Role Overview: This role will be responsible for reviewing a percentage of all works completed in the Causeway and West Area on the service and response maintenance division of the contract, to ensure that works are being completed to standard and as outlined in the contractual requirements. Reports to: Area Foreman Direct Reports: N/A Working Hours: Monday Friday 7.30am 5pm Flexibility is required. Additional Benefits: Pension Life Assurance (terms apply) Health Cash Plan Membership Roles & Responsibilities: Conduct visual and functional checks on the required number of completed heating services and response maintenance works. Ensure all tasks meet contractual requirements and health & safety regulations. Confirm that necessary paperwork, such as Gas Safety Certificates (CP12), have been correctly completed and uploaded Identify any defects, incomplete work, or poor workmanship and escalate as necessary. Maintain accurate records of inspections, including photographs, notes, and follow-up actions through the Accuserv mobile app Provide feedback to the Area Foreman regarding workmanship and areas for improvement so this can be relayed to the Engineer who completed the works. Any other item as directed by Management Personnel Specification Essential Criteria: Must be Gas qualified Must have experience in and excellent knowledge of servicing and maintaining gas heating systems Must have a full UK driving licence Desirable Criteria: OFTEC qualification Experience working on Social Housing contracts Understand the NIHE contract specifications with regard to the requirements of the servicing and response maintenance contract Personal Characteristics: Ability to build and maintain relationships Excellent Communication Skills Excellent negotiation skills Ability to work under pressure Ability to work within specified timeframes Ability to use own initiative Ability to work as part of a team Strong attention to detail H&A Mechanical Services are an equal opportunities employer.
