Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heating Engineer to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing heating systems across domestic and social housing properties. This role involves working with a variety of fuel types, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair heating systems across multiple fuel types, including domestic gas, oil, and solid fuel.
Service boilers, fires, and associated appliances in line with manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently, particularly in reactive and breakdown situations.
Ensure full compliance with all relevant safety regulations, including Gas Safe and OFTEC standards.
Issue safety certificates and maintain accurate service records using electronic and/or manual systems.
Manage stock levels effectively and coordinate with approved suppliers for replenishment.
Participate in an on-call rota, providing 24/7 emergency support across the property portfolio.
Minimum Essential Criteria
Relevant domestic gas qualifications: ACS, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, MET1, HWSS1, CMDDA1, WREG.
Proven experience in a service or maintenance engineering role, with a strong focus on breakdown response.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Full UK driving licence.
Skills and Aptitudes
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to perform under pressure.
Strong technical knowledge, including experience with diagnostic tools and relevant software.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
