Job Title: GCSE Maths & English Tutor Trafford Location: Trafford (community-based or in-home sessions) Pay Rate: GBP25 per hour (starting rate) Job Type: Part-Time | Flexible Hours About the Role Prospero Teaching is looking for an experienced and dedicated tutor to provide GCSE Maths and English lessons on a 1:1 basis for students in the Trafford area, starting in March 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a tutor who can tailor their teaching approach to meet each students individual needs, helping them gain confidence and achieve academic success. Key Responsibilities Deliver personalized GCSE Maths and English lessons, adapting content and pace according to each student's needs.

Support students in improving their understanding of the subject, study skills, and exam performance. Foster a positive and supportive learning environment, building strong rapport with students. Regularly assess progress and provide constructive feedback to parents, carers, or professionals as required.

Create structured learning plans, incorporating a compassionate and adaptive approach when necessary. Essential Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in teaching or tutoring Maths and/or English. Right to work in the UK.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain). Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule. Desirable Qualifications QTS or PGCE in Secondary Education.

Experience working with learners with SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH). Additional Information Sessions typically take place during school hours, with occasional after-school or evening opportunities. Prospero Teaching provides resources and ongoing progress monitoring to support your teaching.
