GCSE Tutor – 1:1 Outreach (PAYE)

Location: Bromley (applications welcome from Bromley and surrounding areas)
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time hours (Monday–Friday)
Salary: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

New Chapter Tuition is seeking a dedicated and compassionate GCSE Tutor to provide 1:1 outreach tuition to secondary-aged learners across Bromley.

This role involves supporting students who are unable to fully access mainstream education, including those with SEMH needs, ADHD, anxiety, or those at risk of exclusion.

You will deliver tailored sessions in community settings such as homes, libraries, and alternative provisions, focusing on engagement, confidence-building, and GCSE progress.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver 1:1 GCSE tuition in English and Maths (with occasional Science)

Plan and adapt sessions to meet individual learning needs

*

Provide tuition in community settings (home, library, learning hub, alternative provision)

*

Build positive, trusting relationships with learners

*

Support student engagement, confidence, and emotional development

*

Monitor progress and provide feedback to families and professionals

Requirements

*

Experience working with secondary-aged learners

*

Strong knowledge of the UK GCSE curriculum

*

Experience supporting students with additional needs (SEMH, ADHD, anxiety, or similar)

*

Calm, patient, and empathetic approach

*

Ability to work independently in outreach settings

*

Right to work in the UK
