We are looking for a full time General Labourer to join our coach building and vehicle conversions team.
About Vans for Bands:
Vans for Bands (VFB) is a leading supplier of splitter vans and sleeper buses to customers from across the music, comedy, events, theatre and TV production and sports industries. Our vehicles are in effect luxury motorhomes with interiors that are constructed and maintained to a very high standard.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated General Labourer to join our coach-building team. This role involves supporting tradespeople across various stages of interior fit out, repair, and finishing. You'll assist with workshop duties, material handling, basic assembly tasks, and general labouring within a fast-paced Coach Build environment.
No experience in coach building is required, but experience in labouring, manufacturing, or automotive industries is highly regarded. Training will be provided to the successful applicant.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist tradespeople with internal builds and repair of coaches and custom vehicles Move, organise, and prepare materials for production Perform basic assembly and fitting tasks under supervision Use hand and power tools as required Loading and unloading components and materials Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work area Complete general labour and support tasks as directed by supervisorsSkills and Experience:
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment Good physical fitness for manual handling tasks Basic tool skills (preferred but not essential) Experience in automotive, fabrication, manufacturing, or labouring (advantageous) Driver's licence and reliable transport (preferred)The ideal candidate should also have the following qualities and skills:
A strong work ethic with good attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality work

8 hours per day (including a short lunch break). There may be times when additional hours are required. They will be required to clock in/out on a daily basis using the digital time clock installed in the office. Our coach building workshop is operational between 7.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. You may also very occasionally be required to work at weekends but this is rare (on such occasions you will receive time off in lieu during the normal working week).Benefits:
