Salary: £30,000–£35,000
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30
Location: Newport South Wales
We are looking for a proactive and skilled General Maintenance Operative to join our growing team. You will be responsible for delivering repairs, reactive works, and preventative maintenance across a variety of company-owned properties — including self‑storage facilities, office buildings, and retail parades across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
You will carry out a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including:
* General building repairs (roofing, cladding, etc.)
* Plumbing
* Joinery
* Tiling
* Painting & decorating
* Carpeting
* Paving
* Drainage works
* Grounds maintenance & site clearance
* Pressure washing
* Furniture assembly & removal
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a building trade or property maintenance role
* NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating
* Cladding and roofing experience (desirable)
* CSCS card (desirable)
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong organisational skills and ability to meet KPI/SLA deadlines
* Competent using IT systems to record work and expenditure
* Good understanding of health & safety procedures and point-of-work risk assessments
* Strong communication skills to minimise operational disruption
