General Manager - Up to £55k p/a inc. tronc 40-45 hours Independently operated Gastro pub with a very strong food offering - tied on beers but FOT on Wines, spirits & mixers We are currently looking for a General Manager with experience, energy, personality & charisma for our independently operated Gastropub in Crouch End, N8.

Our ethos and service standard: We like to work with a fun, friendly and professional manner - we want everyone to enjoy the fun, embrace the friendly and not notice the professional elements too much as they operate behind the enjoyment of everyone of our guests experience.

The Role As GM you will take a hands on approach to all aspects of running the venue. Working initially with the owners and our existing team of managers & supervisors, you will be given autonomy to take on the running of the site as though it were your own over time Having a sense of business acumen and experienceand an awareness of implementing systems to benefit the businesses and uphold GPs and targets To lead the whole team with positivity and a firm but fair hand to install and maintain the consistent service standards that the we have set and continue to strive to build upon Work within the ethos of the company to create a warm and vibrant energy for all of the guests and the team alike - leading with energy and passion are key You will be given the opportunity to train, personally develop and progress your career as the company continues to grow as we pursue multiple site status

Who are you? Were looking for a passionate hospitality professional who cares about every element of the quality of product and about looking after each and every customer Somebody who cares about the creative aspects of business growth and can work with the owners to implement positive changes to help build on the positive success weve enjoyed thus far A passion and knowledge for great food and wine are an absolute must to thrive in our environment at GM level (WSET level 2 would be hugely beneficial) Be calm under pressure as we have built a busy space already and youll need to be able to help us build bigger into the summer months as we capitalise on our multiple outdoor spaces A minimum of 2 yrs experience at GM level in a similar food driven environment Solid communication and organisational skills Be approachable and engaging Excellent and natural customer & floor service skills A strong all-round gastro-pub industry knowledge from market leaders, to pub company competition Passionate about people, training, mentoring and building teams whilst also loving to have a good time Personal License holder beneficial There will be: Competitive salary & bonus scheme Training and development where applicable to build on youre own experience and knowledge A creative and passionate environment to work in without the shackles of big pub company bureaucracy to slow progress A fun, family atmosphere with a high level of hospitality at the very core of every visitors experience 28 days holiday and all statutory benefits Mondays off every week! Basic requirements: All staffing elements to include rotas, budgets, HR management where applicable, onboarding & training / payroll & annual leave management - Workforce/Deputy experience is beneficial Bookings - manage all bookings in conjunction with AM and larger party bookings with Chef/Owner - experience with the back office of SevenRooms is key here Stock control & ordering experience a must (with bar manager) Develop and nurture the team and overall offering of the environment from seasonal adjustments, menu offerings, and staff continuity Monitor, maintain and constantly improve the service driven environment
