What This Role Is Really About Running a busy community pub that feels like a home for locals, families, friends and events Turning guests into regulars through brilliant hospitality and consistent execution Building a brand, not just a bar storytelling, identity, loyalty and reputation Leading a team, not just managing staff standards, energy, support, accountability Growing the business with smart decisions, great operations, and creativity You are the face, heartbeat, and driving force of The Ealing Oak. Key Responsibilities Guest Experience Deliver a warm, welcoming and memorable experience every time Build a regular base who feel genuinely connected to the pub Create moments, host events, and ensure the pub always has energy and atmosphere Brand, Journey & Reputation Champion the Ealing Oak brand identity, tone, values, and purpose Drive our online presence (Facebook, Instagram, Google, TripAdvisor etc) Respond to reviews with emotional intelligence and professionalism Support storytelling what the pub stands for, what makes it special Ensure menus, messaging, visuals and guest touchpoints always feel intentional Leadership & People Recruit, train, motivate and retain a strong team Build a culture of pride, respect, accountability and care Lead from the front, always setting the standard Coach and grow future leaders within the business Commercial & Operational Control Own the P&L margins, labour, wastage, profitability Smart stock control, order accuracy and cost management Compliance, health and safety, licensing always watertight Weekly performance reviews with clear actions and outcomes Deliver growth.
