Your new company Our client works within the temperature-controlled food sector and is growing within the Scottish market. Your new role Our client is actively looking for a General Manager/ Regional General Manager (Transport) to work on a permanent basis. This role has multi-site responsibility and is based in Bellshill, reporting to their Director of Operations.This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic and day-to-day management of their transport division, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and outstanding customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for all operational performance and financial aspects of the depots, by managing the Weekly Profit and Loss of the depots, which includes the transport operation and a small warehouse operation. Manage & support an effective operational process which ensures the integrity of customer / supplier's service requirements. You will have strong hands-on/operational experience. Experience with European Road Freight would be advantageous. Manage commercial aspects of a transport operation to meet profit and service/quality targets.
