Position: Generator Mechanic Location: Swindon Job Type: Permanent / Onsite

My client, a global engineering business are on the hunt for a Generator Mechanic to join their team!

Role and Responsibilities – Generator Mechanic In this role, you will play a pivotal role in inspecting equipment returning from projects for customers, ensuring the equipment is meeting safety standards for field reuse.

Other responsibilities include:

Producing survey reports, conducting maintenance and servicing, providing technical support to other trades, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Provide technical advice and support to other trades regarding fault investigation and generator-related matters. Adhere to Health and Safety regulations, COSHH, Engineering Hygiene, Risk Assessments, and safe working practices in a hazardous environment. Conduct training and mentoring of apprentices. Experience or Qualifications – Generator Mechanic

Recognised and accredited trade qualifications of City & Guilds standards or above. Proficient in fault finding and diagnostic abilities on both mechanical and electrical components. Understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), service targets, objectives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Competent computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, MS Teams), and the ability to learn new software systems Benefits – Generator Mechanic
