Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and delivery of Preliminary Risk Assessments and Intrusive Ground Investigations, including soil and rock logging, sampling and in-situ testing. Interpret and report on geoenvironmental data, undertaking human health and groundwater risk assessments using industry-standard tools such as LCRM, ConSim, RBCA, SNIFFER, BP RISC and the EA Remedial Targets methodology. Provide clear, commercially focused advice on contaminated land and planning matters, tailored to client and project needs. Develop outline designs and specifications for contaminated land remedial works and manage detailed design of contaminated land earthworks and remediation schemes. Oversee and direct investigation and remediation of mine workings, producing associated completion reports. Manage projects effectively, from tender and proposal preparation through to delivery and client liaison. Mentor and support junior engineers, promoting technical excellence and professional development. Essential Criteria: BSc or BEng in a relevant Geological or Environmental discipline (MSc desirable). Proven track record in project management, client development and technical delivery. Extensive experience preparing contaminated land assessment reports in line with current guidance. Strong understanding of contaminated land legislation and the UK planning regime. Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills. Full UK driving licence (UK travel required) Desirable: Postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline. Experience in geotechnical design (earthworks, foundations, retaining structures, slope stability).
