Geotechnical Design Engineer

Salary: £30,000 to £38,000.
An exciting career opportunity has arisen for a Geotechnical Design Engineer to join a fast-growing engineering consultancy based in York. The successful Geotechnical Design Engineer will play a key role in team management, project delivery, and technical excellence. As Geotechnical Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Working on the geotechnical team and managing project workloads
Identifying geotechnical risks and proposing effective mitigation strategies
Delivering concept and detailed design work including foundation design, slope stability and retaining walls.
Producing high-quality technical reports including Ground Investigation and Geotechnical Design Reports
Mentoring junior staff
Supporting colleagues across other offices as part of a wider geotechnical teamBenefits of the Geotechnical Design Engineer role:

Company pension schemeTo succeed in this Geotechnical Design Engineer role, you should have:
Design experience within civil or geotechnical engineering consultancy
Have or be working towards chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (or equivalent)
Familiarity with geotechnical design software, AutoCAD, and MS Office
Experience in rail projects ( but not essential)
Relevant experience in areas such as slope stability, foundation design, earthworks, soil nails, retaining structures, and pile design
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
Clean UK driving licence
