Are you looking for a step into a commercial environment in the Ground Investigation sector? If you have experience within the geotechnical/geoenvironmental sector, then this could be the role for you!

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Estimator to join our growing team in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a specialist ground engineering contractor delivering a wide range of geotechnical and foundation solutions across Nottingham and the wider East Midlands.

As a Geotechnical Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, preparing accurate and competitive tenders for piling, ground improvement, retaining structures, and associated civil engineering works. You will review technical documentation, interpret site investigation data, and develop cost-effective methodologies that align with client requirements and project specifications.

The successful Geotechnical Estimator will work closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure submissions are commercially sound and technically robust. You will be confident analysing drawings and specifications, obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotations, and identifying both risks and value engineering opportunities.

What the role involves:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
• Reviewing geotechnical reports, drawings, and contract documentation
• Liaising with clients, consultants, and suppliers
• Conducting site visits where required
• Supporting handover to the delivery team upon contract award

Geotechnical Estimator, Candidate Requirements:

• Geology degree, another relevant degree
• Live within a commutable distance from their Nottingham site
• Ground investigation experience
• Full Right to Work in the UK permanently
