Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled GIS & AI Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of a modern geospatial platform with embedded AI-driven data insights capabilities. The successful candidate will work via a Tier 1 consultancy for a public sector organisation, shaping a secure, scalable ArcGIS solution aligned with the NELI roadmap and supporting advanced stakeholder sentiment analysis using Azure OpenAI.
Key Responsibilities: GIS Platform Architecture
- Lead end-to-end architecture of the ArcGIS Enterprise environment using best practices and reference architectures (ESRI Options 1–3).
- Design infrastructure-as-code (IaC) patterns and manage Dev/UAT/PROD lifecycles.
- Integrate CI/CD pipelines with ArcGIS Cloud Builder using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Manage schema-breaking vs non-schema-breaking workflows.
- Architect an AI-driven platform using Azure OpenAI to analyse stakeholder sentiment and feedback across diverse data sources (e.g., emails, surveys, meeting notes, media).
- Integrate structured/unstructured data from systems like Salesforce, CSAT scores, BI tools, and media feeds.
- Develop centralised, compliant data capture and storage solutions with robust auditability.
- Implement AI models for theme and sentiment analysis.
- Build user-triggered reporting dashboards and synthesis tools with search and filtering capabilities.
- Enable insight-driven stakeholder engagement via intuitive visual interfaces.
- Establish and enforce metadata standards and catalogue structures.
- Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and classification requirements (e.g., RBAC, SSO, Azure Entra).
- Integrate ArcGIS Monitor and other telemetry for performance tracking.
- Define backup (WebGISDR), patching, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Proven experience in GIS architecture (ESRI/ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, Cloud Builder).
- Practical expertise in Azure OpenAI or similar LLM/AI platforms for solution development.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, BI tools, CSAT/NPS metrics, and media sentiment analysis.
- Strong understanding of DevOps, IaC (Terraform/ARM), GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps.
- Experience creating interactive dashboards and reporting tools for non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of public sector security and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Operations Research.
- MSc or PhD in a related field.
- Understanding of electricity markets and power system operations (e.g., dispatch/unit commitment).
- Experience with cloud-native solution delivery in regulated sectors.
- SC or DV Clearance (or eligibility).
