MADE Careers is working with an internationally respected AJ practice to appoint a Head of Communications to join its London studio.This is a senior communications role within a globally recognised design practice operating across Europe and Asia. The studio has an established reputation for innovation in architecture, sustainability and urban strategy, supported by an inhouse research arm and a strong international presence.With projects spanning UK and UAE; including landmark commercial, residential and civic buildings, the practice is looking for a strategic communications lead to strengthen brand positioning, manage media relationships and shape how the studio presents itself globally.This role is coming in at senior leadership level and will play a key part in reputation management, external communications strategy and high profile announcements.The RoleDevelop and deliver an integrated PR and Communications strategy aligned with business objectivesShape and protect the studio’s brand positioning across global marketsBuild and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors and key media contactsLead on press releases, media statements, speeches, interviews and thought leadership contentPrepare senior leadership for media engagement and public facing opportunitiesDesign and execute creative PR campaigns to strengthen brand awareness and sector visibilityMonitor media coverage and public sentiment, advising leadership accordinglyCoordinate closely with inhouse creative and marketing teams to ensure consistency of messaging and visual identityManage external PR agencies where appropriateOversee social media presence across platforms including LinkedIn and Instagram (plus relevant international channels)Lead internal communications across the studioAbout YouDegree qualified in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing or related field7+ years’ experience in PR, with at least 3 - 5 years in a senior or leadership capacityBackground in architecture, design, property or a related creative industry preferredStrong track record delivering multichannel PR campaignsConfident handling high-profile announcements and complex or sensitive mattersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsComfortable operating at senior leadership levelExperience managing and developing teamsTechnical & Platform ExperienceAdobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)Microsoft Word & PowerPointSocial media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Sprout Social, HubSpot or similar)LinkedIn, Instagram and relevant international platformsAnalytics tools such as Google Analytics and PR measurement softwareWhy Join?Join an internationally recognised design practice with a strong global portfolioWork closely with senior leadership on strategic brand positioningBe part of a diverse, design led studio environmentModern central London office with excellent transport linksCompetitive benefits including private healthcare, healthcare cash plan and pensionIf you’re a senior communications professional looking to step into a high profile role within an established international design studio, we’d welcome a confidential conversation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
