Job Description

Simmons & Hanbury are working with an international investment bank with a sizeable presence in London who are looking to hire an experienced Financial Markets lawyer. The role will sit as part of a small legal team in London, who also support the banks other international offices in the US and Europe.


Key responsibilities

  • To provide high-quality legal advice in relation to derivatives and hedging products, loan-linked hedging and deal contingent trades.
  • Advising on ISDA master agreements and GMRAs.
  • Supporting on new product proposals and strategic initiatives, as the Bank looks to continue its international growth.
  • Advising on regulatory issues that may impact than banks financial markets products.


Experience requirements

  • Qualified lawyer in the UK with at least five years of post-qualification experience, although those with a much higher PQE will also be considered.
  • Experience working in-house supporting the financial markets business of another investment bank, with extensive experience within derivatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to work autonomously.
