Role Overview:
The Golf Sales Ambassador is responsible for driving revenue through the proactive sale and coordination of all golf-related business, including corporate golf/driving range days, society bookings, golf events, sponsorship days, tournaments, and residential golf packages.
Working within the hotel sales office, this role acts as the primary liaison between corporate clients, golf societies, event organisers, the hotel team, and the golf operations team to deliver exceptional golf experiences while maximising revenue across golf, food & beverage, accommodation, and ancillary services.
Key Responsibilities:
Golf Sales & Revenue Generation
Proactively identify, target, and secure corporate golf days, society events, charity tournaments, and sponsored competitions.
Develop and sell residential golf/driving range packages incorporating accommodation, dining, and added-value services.
Build tailored proposals aligned with client objectives and budgets.
Achieve and exceed monthly and annual revenue targets.
Client Relationship Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for all golf-related enquiries.
Conduct site visits and familiarisation tours for prospective clients.
Build long-term relationships with corporate bookers, PA networks, golf societies, and event agencies.
Follow up post-event to secure repeat business and referrals.
Maintain a CRM database of golf clients and prospects.
Event Planning & Coordination:
Liaise with golf operations, food & beverage, kitchen, front office, and events teams to ensure seamless delivery.
Coordinate tee times, competition formats, scoring, branding opportunities, and prize presentations.
Prepare event function sheets and detailed run-of-show documentation.
Oversee event delivery on key golf days as required.
Commercial Strategy & Market Development:
Identify new revenue opportunities such as:
Winter golf packages
Corporate membership schemes
Sponsored golf series
Stay-and-play promotions
Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
Support marketing initiatives targeting the golf market (email campaigns, partnerships, trade shows).
Reporting & Administration:
Maintain accurate booking records and contracts.
Produce weekly sales activity reports.
Track conversion rates and revenue performance.
Ensure deposits, payment schedules, and final accounts are managed efficiently.
Key Performance Indicators:
Golf revenue target achievement
Conversion rate of enquiries to confirmed bookings
Average spend per event
Repeat business ratio
Client satisfaction scores
Growth of golf database and pipeline value
Candidate Profile:
Experience
Proven experience in sales (hotel, golf, events, or corporate hospitality preferred).
Experience selling corporate events or golf days highly desirable.
Strong understanding of golf event formats and corporate hospitality expectations.
Skills & Competencies:
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Strong organisational abilities.
Ability to build relationships at all levels.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
