Overview We are looking for an experienced Governance Manager to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent role based at our central London office. Role We are looking for an established Governance Manager with extensive experience of supporting charitable boards and ensuring Charity Commission compliance in a national charitable organisation. As Governance Manager, you will work with the CEO and Chair to ensure that English Heritage follows effective, transparent and accountable governance procedures which comply with the highest standards and fulfil charity and statutory requirements. Responsibilities
Act as Secretary to the Board of Trustees, managing its meetings and those of its committees Ensure that English Heritage is fulfilling its governance requirements Manage the Charity's governance appointments policy and processes
To be considered
Extensive experience in a governance role, ideally in a national charity High attention to detail and regard for confidentiality Ability to work independently
