Graduate Mechanical Project Engineer (Sustainability Focus)\n\nLocation: Regional Projects\n Company: Tier 1 Building Services Contractor (£80m+ Annual Turnover)\n Sectors: Commercial | Education | Healthcare | Life Sciences | Public Sector\n\nOverview\n\nA Tier 1 building services contractor with an annual turnover exceeding £80 million is seeking a motivated Graduate Mechanical Project Engineer to join their growing sustainability and project delivery team.\n\nThis role is designed for a graduate who wants to build a long-term career in mechanical building services while specialising in low-carbon design, sustainable construction and energy-efficient building solutions. You will be exposed to high-value, technically complex projects and supported through structured training and development.\n\nThe Role\n\nWorking closely with Senior Project Managers and Engineers, you will support the delivery of mechanical services packages while developing specialist knowledge in sustainability and modern low-carbon technologies.\n\nYou will be involved in:\n\nSupporting the coordination and delivery of mechanical building services packages\n\nAssisting with sustainable design solutions and low-carbon strategies\n\nWorking with technologies including heat pumps, energy-efficient HVAC systems, renewables and BMS integration\n\nMonitoring site progress, quality and installation standards\n\nSupporting commissioning, testing and handover documentation\n\nLearning cost control, procurement and project reporting\n\nLiaising with design teams, subcontractors and suppliers\n\nWhat They're Looking For\n\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or similar\n\nStrong interest in sustainability, carbon reduction and energy efficiency\n\nUnderstanding of HVAC and building services principles\n\nGood communication and organisational skills\n\nProactive attitude and willingness to learn\n\nFull UK driving licence ()\n\nWhat's On Offer\n\nStructured graduate training programme\n\nClear development route into Project Engineer / Project Manager roles\n\nExposure to Tier 1 projects and modern low-carbon technologies\n\nCompetitive graduate salary\n\nTravel expenses covered\n\nPension scheme\n\nBonus potential\n\nLong-term career security with a major contractor\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who wants to develop into a future leader in sustainable building services.\n\nIf you're looking to start your career in a business that is actively shaping the future of low-carbon construction, this role offers the platform to do exactly that
