Graduate Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Brent - September 2026 Start - Full-Time

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Brent seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable school-based experience and develop the skills needed for a future career in education.

Graduate Teaching Assistant - Role Overview

As a Graduate TA, you will support students across KS3 and KS4, working closely with teachers to enhance learning and engagement. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting students in lessons on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
Providing targeted support to students who need additional help
Supporting pupils with SEN, EAL, or additional learning needs
Helping to prepare lesson resources and materials
Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to staff
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
Contributing to a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

A degree in any subject (Essential)
A strong interest in pursuing a career in education or teaching
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
