Graduate Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Northwood - September 2026 Start - Full-Time

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Northwood seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable school-based experience and develop the skills needed for a future career in education.

As a Graduate TA, you will support students across KS3 and KS4, working closely with teachers to enhance learning and engagement. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students in lessons on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
• Providing targeted support to students who need additional help
• Supporting pupils with SEN, EAL, or additional learning needs
• Helping to prepare lesson resources and materials
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to staff
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
• Contributing to a supportive and inclusive learning environment

• A degree in any subject (Essential)
• A strong interest in pursuing a career in education or teaching
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
