Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading UK housebuilder in their search for a Graduate Town Planner to join their established Planning Team based in Ruislip.
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career planning professional to kick-start their career within a highly regarded residential developer, gaining exposure to a wide range of planning projects across the development lifecycle.
The Role
As a Graduate Town Planner, you will support the delivery of residential developments from initial site promotion through to planning permission and beyond. Working alongside experienced planning professionals, you will gain valuable hands-on experience across all aspects of the planning process.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications
Supporting the promotion of strategic land through the Local Plan process
Undertaking planning research and policy analysis
Preparing planning statements and supporting documentation
Liaising with consultants, local authorities, and internal project teams
Assisting with site appraisals and development feasibility assessments
Attending meetings with stakeholders and project teams
Candidate Requirements
RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning or related discipline
Strong understanding of the UK planning system
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
Proactive and organised approach
A genuine interest in residential development
