Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an independent planning consultancy in their search for a Graduate Planner to join their London-based team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career planner to kickstart their career within a well-established consultancy, working on a diverse portfolio of projects across the residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors.

The Role

As a Graduate Planner, you will support the planning team on a range of live development projects, gaining hands-on experience across all stages of the planning process within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications

Supporting site appraisals and development feasibility studies

Reviewing local and national planning policy

Drafting planning statements and supporting documentation

Liaising with Local Planning Authorities and external consultants

Maintaining accurate and well-organised project records

Candidate Requirements

Degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, Geography or related discipline

RTPI-accredited degree preferred

Strong interest in planning and development

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Organised with strong attention to detail

Keen to work towards MRTPI Chartership
