About the firm

This is a consultancy recognised for helping innovative businesses access funding with confidence. Their services include grant advisory, capital allowances, Patent Box, location strategy and, where relevant, R&D incentives. What sets them apart is their collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach, bringing together specialists across technology, science, engineering and finance to guide clients through complex funding landscapes.

The grants team continues to grow and has already delivered significant funding for clients across life sciences, semiconductors, agriculture, automotive, advanced manufacturing and other innovation-led sectors. They have recently supported one of the largest UK grant awards to date and remain focused on building further momentum.

The opportunity

This role is a key part of the continued growth of the grants team. As a Grants Manager, you will take responsibility for delivering grant advisory projects while also developing your commercial and client-facing skillset.

You will work closely with clients throughout the grant funding lifecycle, from early conversations and project scoping through to writing strong applications and supporting delivery post-award. You will have exposure to business development activity, supporting proposals, contributing to fee discussions and helping identify new opportunities, with support from more senior colleagues.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys combining hands-on grant writing and delivery with growing responsibility on the commercial and advisory side.

What you will bring

  • Experience advising on UK grant schemes, with the ability to contribute confidently to grant applications and client discussions.
  • Exposure to innovation funding such as Innovate UK, innovation loans, Horizon Europe or regional growth grants is a bonus.
  • Strong written skills and attention to detail, with the ability to produce high-quality, well-structured grant applications.
  • A commercial mindset and interest in developing client relationships and supporting new business activity.
  • Confidence working directly with clients and collaborating with colleagues across different teams.
  • An interest in working across a range of sectors including life sciences, advanced engineering, cleantech, semiconductors and automotive.

Package

  • Competitive base salary
  • Annual bonus
  • Hybrid working
  • Pension
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Electric vehicle scheme
  • Death in service
  • Private health insurance
  • Staff referral bonus
  • Enhanced parental pay with six months full pay for maternity, adoption and shared parental leave

Why this role stands out

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their grants career within a high-performing advisory environment. You will gain exposure to high-impact projects, work closely with experienced senior colleagues, and build both technical and commercial capability. There is clear scope to grow with the team and take on more responsibility as the service line continues to expand.
