About the Role Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join their Local Authority clients green team on an initial 6-month temporary contract.

This is a hands-on role supporting the upkeep and presentation of the borough, ensuring public spaces are safe, clean, and maintained to a high standard. You will contribute to a wide range of activities including grounds maintenance, street works, cleansing duties, and support for local events.

Please note: This role involves driving as part of daily duties, therefore a full UK driving license is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out grounds maintenance duties including grass cutting, hedge trimming, and general upkeep Undertake street cleansing and environmental maintenance tasks Drive company vehicles between sites as required Operate machinery and equipment safely and effectively Ensure all work meets required standards and follows work instructions Complete and return all necessary paperwork accurately and on time Support local events, elections, and emergency planning activities Maintain tools, plant, and equipment, ensuring they are safe and secure Follow all Health & Safety procedures and report any hazards or incidents Provide a p...
