Grounds Maintenance Operative Carry out allocated grounds maintenance operations effectively and efficiently in accordance with the specification, ensuring that all service levels/key performance targets are met. Monitor the quality of the service to ensure a consistently high standard is maintained.
Grounds Maintenance Operative Work with managers to raise standards and seek excellence across all services and to ensure that services are integrated at point of delivery. Work co-operatively alongside other staff members as part of a team as and where operations indicate.
Grounds Maintenance Operative Provide high quality services with enthusiasm and passion to help to improve customer satisfaction.
Duties mowing and cultivating ground using hand tools, motorized equipment and a range of vehicles including ride-on mowers and tractors; clearing litter and waste from all areas prior to working, cleaning and washing of mess facilities, including showers and toilets and re-stocking consumables; carrying out arboricultural works including tree planting, watering, staking, pruning and maintenance using appropriate equipment up to a height of two meters; hedge maintenance, including trimming, weeding, hoeing and raking using hand-held and mechanical equipment; preparing and cultivating soil and undertaking landscape improvements; cleaning, maintaining and supervising play areas including sand and water play areas; maintaining flower, rose and shrub beds, including planting, watering, pruning, weeding and other horticultural tasks; maintaining a range of furniture and fittings; managing composting sites and undertaking other grounds related duties as directed.
