1. To perform grounds maintenance activities in Slough Borough Council’s parks, gardens, open spaces and road sides, and commercial premises where required, to a high horticultural and customer care standard commensurate with skills, qualifications (certificates) and experience.

This includes:-

1.1. Grass cutting 1.2. Hedge and shrub maintenance 1.3. Litter collection, cleaning of furniture 1.4. Maintenance to a high standard of a wide variety of ornamental planting features such as annual bedding, perennial displays, hanging baskets and ornamental lawns 1.5. Preparation of sports pitches 1.6. Application of weed killer 1.7. Minor tree works 1.8. Landscaping works 1.9. Playground inspection and maintenance 2. To work alone or as part of a team that maintains Slough Borough Council’s streets, parks and opens spaces to a high standard so that they are a welcoming and safe place to visit.

3. Ensure that where premises, gates, barriers etc are unlocked to gain access that they are relocked after work has been completed, paying particular attention to the safeguarding of keys.
